AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND.
THE RECIPROCITY TREATY. IFREBS ASSOCIATIONS MELBOURNE, 19th June. In the House of Representatives today, Mr. Deakin, replying to questions, stated that under the reciprocity treaty with New Zealand (arranged during the lato Mr. Seddxm's visit to Melbourne, and to be laid on the tables of the New Zealand and Federal Parliaments simultaneously) all the States of the Commonwealth would receive equal treatment. The treaty was closed in the sense that it would require the authority of the New Zealand Government to teopen it.
