BUTTER AND CHEESEMAKERS' ASSOCIATION.
♦ ANNUAL MEETING. [Br TW.KOBAPH.] (From Our Special Reporter.) PALMERSTON, 19th June. The eighth annual meeting of the Bubtet and Cheesemakers 1 Association was held to-night. The report submitted stated that the membership totalled 225 190 in the North Island #nd 35 in the South Island. The duties of labour agent, carried out by the secretary, had been so extensive tfhat between 600 and 700 letters and telegrams had been Teceived, and 'over 1200 letters, telegrams, and circulars were despatched. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £23 7s. Mr. H. Rockell (Dannevirke) was reelected president), and Messrs. T. Brash, J. Middleton, and W. Gwilliam, vice-pre-sidents. Other officers elected were: — Executive, Messrs. R. Saunders, A., Ross, F. M'Donald, S. Bowman, W. Dempster, A. Lees and J. ODea; auditor, Mr. O. Mackie ; secretary, Mr. W. J. Curie. After the meeting, Mr. J. Tait (Auckland) read an able paper on home separation, which was followed by a fairly lengthy discussion, in which a large number of delegates took part.
