THE LATE PREMIER.

» We have received a number of> letters from correspondents urging that the line of route which the funeral will follow should be longer, otherwise there is danger of accidents from crowding on the part of those who assemble to witness the spectacle. . The matter is worthy of consideration. When the head of the procession reaches the top of Sydney-street the coffin will be removed from the heavy gun carriage Which has brought it from Parliament Buildings, and be placed_ on a gun carriage of lighter construction, which will be hauled up to the grave by men from H.M.S. Encounter. Tha minute guns (61 in number) will be fired from the Ngahnuranga Battery. Mr. W. Wallis, local manager, will represent the Federal-Houlder-Shire lines at the funeral of the late Right - Hon. R. J. Seddon.
