The Dutch warship Piet Hem rammed and sank the Belgian steamer Meuse in the North Sea. The captain of the Meuse and eleven persons were drowned. I ACCIDENT ON A STEAMER. PORT DARWIN, 15th June. A check valvo blew out on the steamer Airlie. The chief engineer, Mr. O'Keefe, the fourth engineer, and two men were severely scalded.
