THE CRICKET EMBROGLIO.
POSITION Of THE BOARD OF CONTROL. ' [PRESS ASSOCIATION.! SYDNEY, 12th June. The Secretary of the Cnckeb Association, replying to Mr. Noble, points out that the Board of Control represents the cricket interests of Australia, as evidenced by the fact that, with the exception of South Australia, all the governing bodies of cricket are represented thereon, Mr. Noble himself so far recognising its control of international cricket as t<J assist in electing the New South Wales representative. Since the inception of the association no cricket had been played -without the consent of the association. Players at the time of signing the agreement with the Melbourne Club were avfjaie that the board would refuse to recognise the English team unless it came at the invitation of the board, and that they would be disqualified if they played against the team. He asks, if the agreement is so clear and above-board, why the players feepfc the secret and refuse to produce it?
