Colonel Mackenzie declares that the forces operating against Bambaata are inadequate. Colonel Sir Wtols-Sampson recommends an additional thousand men, preferably British or Dutch colonials. The. Premier of Natal has accepted a Cape volunteer contingent with six Maxims. Now that harvesting is completed the Europeans in Zululand anticipate trouble with Dinizulu.
