Mr. Parks, manager of a London butter distributing firm, giving evidence be- ( fore tho Butter Committee, stated that tho carriage of colonial butter a long distance in a frozen state tended to damage its flavour. This was well recognised throughout the butter trade, and was concurred in by all the principal imporflers of tho colonial article. Mr. Taverner, Agent-General for Victoria, has arranged a special meeting of the Produce Exchange to discuss what steps bhould be taken to refute Mr. Parks's statement.
