Advice has been received by tho Hudd*rt- | Packer Coinpapy that tho Wimmera left Sydney for Wellington at 2 o'clock on Saturday afternoon. She is bringing 250 passenger* lor New Zealand ports, *nd has 1225 tons of cargo, of which 675 tons will be landed at Wellington. The Wimmera should arrive <arly on Wednesday morning, and will sail for the South, Ho'bart, and Melbourne on Thursday afternoon. TONGARIRO, FROM LONDON. The NeW Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Tongariro arrived in the stream »t 8.10 this moimng, 'and was berthed at No. 1 ioulh. Queen's Wharf, at 9.45, after being aasscd by the He*lth Officer (Dr. Pollen) and Customs Surveyor' (Mr. R. Martin). Hie ve«el left London on the 2nd November, tnd arrived at Plymouth on the 3rd. After embarking mails and passengers ahe sailed on the 4th, and experienced fine weather and smooth *eas until arriving at Tencriffe on the 9th November. Another start was nude, the same day, and fine weather prevailed to the equator, which was crossed on tho 18th November. Thence to Capetown moderate ' seas were encountered. The Cape was mule on the 24th November, and the voyage wm resumed the same night. Fine weather was the rule until off Cape Leuwln, when a moderate S.W. gale, with very high «**«, wa» encountered. This lasted for 15 hours, when fine weather again set ill, and lasted until srrival at Hobart on the 13th irurt. Tho vessel will tlieiefaro leave Wellington at 1 o'clock instead at at 4 p.m., as formerly advised. • Tho Arahnra arrived at Westport at 1 o'clook this morning, and continued her trip to the Grey at 2 a.m. The T.iser liner Ninnru, which has been out in tho stre.im for several di:\t, will probably siil for Lvtlelton on Wednesday. The Sbaw-Savill liner Uaugntira, which sailed for the South an Saturday, took the following cargo from Wellington':— 1062 carcases, 19 haunches, and 4 bags shoulders mutton, 1269 bales hemp, 771 bales wool, 22 casks tallow, 135 caroMcs lamb, 10 boxes kidneys. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Whakatane is expected to lenve {Tapier for Wellington at 4 p.m. tu-doy. The attention of shippers of cargo is directed to the various vcsaeU mentioned in the Union Company's advertisement, which are unable to take cirgo during tho holiday season. ■The Northern* Company's new steamer Aupouri, which arrived at Auckland from Olas(tow last week, w«s brought out by Captain Woolfield. Messrs. Munro aud Simpson were the" deck officers. The engines were in ohorge of Messrs. Win. Blackwood, Sturroek, and Morrison. The New Zealand and African Companv'a liner Devon, now loading at the Glasgow Wharf, is to sail for West Coast ports of the United Kingdom at midday on Wednesday. The Tyser steamer Star of Ireland is expected to complete the discharge of her cargo by Wednesday, when she is to sail for Lyttelton. Advice has been received that the steamer Jane Douglas has entered into the WestportKaramea trade. She will load sleepers at Gilbert's Wharf, Kuramea, to-day, and will sail for Westport on the initial trip. The New Zealand Shipping Company has received advice that the steamer Ruapehu, bound from New Zealand to London, arrived 1 at Monte Video on the 13th met. Mr. Mills, third -officer of the Kaituna, joined the Wainui on Saturday in a similar capacity. Mr. Bradley has relieved Mr. Mills o"n the Kaituna.
