NAPIER WOOL SALES. NAPIER, 6th Docember.
The first local wool sale of the season wae held this evening, there being a large attendance of local and foreign buyers. The auctioneer* submitted 8039 bales. Prices ruled rather higher than at tho opening sale of last year, but in many cases did not reach vendors' ideas of value. The following prices were realised:— Merino up to Is, halfbred up to Is, Rom-ney-Lincoln crossbred up to 12id, fine crossbred 10id to 1«, medium crossbred 9id to lOJd, coarse crossbred 9d t to lOd, lambs up to lOd, pieces and.belb.es up to Bid, locks up to sd.
