|bt telegraph— pbess asssociatiok.] DUNEDIN, 4th October. The Workeis' Political Committee tonight accepted the following as Labour candidates:— Central, Mr. J. A. Millar; south, Mr. J. F. Arnold ; north, Mr. A. A. Barclay; Chalmers, Mr. E. G. Allen. It was decided to recommend Mr. T. K. Sidey to the favourable consideration of the Caversham electors., Mr. Downio Stewait, son of a, former member of Parliament, who is contesting the Dunedin South constituency, addressed his first meeting of electors at Mornington this evening, and received an attentive hearing. He said that as an Indopendent member was out of the council of both parties he must declare himself as an Oppositionist. A vote of thanks was carried without opposition.
