The Minister of Agriculture presided at- a conference to discuss the question of improving ihe breed of horeea. It was resolved that it was desirable tho Indian and Imperial Governments should establish agencies in New South Wales ■with a view to purchasing direct from bTeedons'. A .motion, was also passed favouring the appointment of a competent Board to inspect stallions ; also supporting a tax on stallions, and suggesting the Government should discourage the export of mares.
