There are eight cases for possession of land brought by the Crow n against Heath and others, Barber, Tonks, the Karori Borough Council, Carter, Crawford and others, James Gibnour, and Crawford and another respectively. Hearing of these cases will be started on 30th August. IN DIVORCE. The sittings m divorce will be started on sth September, probably before Mr. Justice Cooper. The case of Gibbs v. Gibbs {husband's petition) will be heard before a. jury. The others cases down for, hearing are Munro v. Munro, I'earce v. Pearce, Croft v. Croft, Boyd v. Boyd, 1 Hutchison v. Hutchison, Wiggins v. Wiggins, Burt v. B.urt, Wilda v. Wilds, Young v. Young, Hinshelwood v. Hinshelwood, and Wakeford v. Wakeford. In Chambers this morning application was madt to hi» Honour the Chief Justice on behalf of George H. Munt, '.James Hunt, and Thomas Munt, sons of the i late Thorna* Munt, carrier, for an allowance under the Testators FamilyMaintenance Act. Mr. Weston, counsel for applicants, said that deceased (for 33 yc-urs) until 1902 resided in New Zealand, whim h& left for England. There he died, leaving his property away from his sons. His niece, Sarah "Moss, and his nephew, Thomas Charlei Burgess, receive the whole of the propeity according to deceased's will. There ia a total of £6200 involved, consisting of real and personal property. All deceased's sons have wives ana children dependent upon them. Mr. D. N. Findlay, who appeared for the executor of the will, contended that provision had been made for two of the aons by the allotment to- them' of shares in the carrying company during the lifetime' of their father. His Honour reserved his decision. , The directors of the Wcstport Coal Company have declared an interim dividend of 3s 6d per share for the half year ended June 30th (not 2s 6d as previous reported),.
