NOTICE is hereby given that the Potone Borough Council proposes to introduce' into tho General Assembly at its present session a LOCAL BILL intituled as above, the object of which Bill is shortly as follows: — Part I. — To empower the Potono and Hutt Borough Councils separately or conjointly to purchase and afterwards vest in tho Wellington Harbour Board on terms to be agreed a site for stores, etc., in connection with a wharf proposed to bo built by the Harbour Board at Petpno, and, with ratepayers' approval, to raiso special loans for the purchase monoy. Part II. — To empower the Petone Borough Council to purchase all private intorosts in Potono Beach and to empower the Governor thereafter to vest tho Beach in such Council as a pubiio reserve ; to empower tho said Council t<? spend money in improving the Beach as a promenade and to build boat and bath houses only ; to empower tho said Council to make Bylawi regulating and controlling the Leasing and iiso ol the Beech and for its protection; to empower sueli Council to grant sites for boatshods, to "Volunteer Corps or boating or rowing clubs ; to empower tho Governor to vest part of tho Beach in tho Wellington Harbour Board for aoccssfcto a wharf, and to empower tlio Potone Borough Council to raise a Special Lpan for purposes aforesaid with tlio ratepayers' consent.
