• INTERVIEW WITH KING OSCAR. [I'RESS ASSOCIATION.] STOCKHOLM, 18th July. In the conr.ie of an interview concerning the recent separation of Sweden and Norway (owjng to the hitter's demand to appoint her own foreign Consuls being refused), King Oscar expressed the hope that the Swedes would remain calm. It would be merely hanging a millstone rouna their necks to restore the union. His Majesty added that the forcible appointment of a Swedish prince as King of Norway would only occasion distrust in both countries.
