FEDERAL HIGH COURT.
RECENT DECISIONS CRITICISED. [PBKSS ASSOCIATION.] (Received July 19, 10.30 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. Mr. Justice Hodges, Judge of the Victorian Supreme Court, passed some strong comments on recent High Court decisions, which, he said, compelled him to give a. judgment at variance with the law as it had been interpreted by the Victorian Judges. The plaintiff, in the present case, would appeal to the Privy Council, whioh would mean an indirect appeal against the decision of the High Court, and made over the head of that tribunal. His Honour said he feared the present methods would bring the administration of the law into confusion. They ought either to have a High Court altogether or a Prdvy Council altogether.
