BROOKLYN TRAMWAY.

I ♦ TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — Have the men of Brooklyn gone ' to sleep? Those of Kilbirnic seem to be . alive enough. Surely- the £6000 or £7000 extra which our tramway is now loaded ' with is not going to be calmJy accepted as ' a fact, to say nothing of the £6000 odd ' to be added for no particular work or pur- \ chase whatever. The public are getting ■ the idea that Kilbirnie alone is concerned, ' and nothing but the extension to that-sub-urb is written of or discussed. As one ] who trudges wearily up the hill, I offer [ my protest against the further delay which ' will be caused by a poll for unproved . estimates. Let the City Council call for " tenders. Fpr one, lam weary of waiting. What a slow lot these men (Councilloi's) ' are ! — I am, etc., ONLY A WOMAN. 13th July, 1905.
