THE RIFLE CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING.
« ENTRIES PROM THE WELLINGTON DISTRICT. The rccoid entry of 200 has been received from the Wellington district for the rifle championship meeting, which is to open at Trenthiun on Thursday next. Nelsou is sending thirty-thrco marksmen and Auckland twenty-six. The number of entries from othor parts of the colony is not yet available. A nuinbor of competitors ure going into camp to-morrow to take advimtugo of tho opportunity to bo given thorn of practising from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. From to-morrow, all trains aro to stop, if required, ut the Trentluun siding throughout tho meeting.
