PICTORIAL POST CARD& [press association.] (Received December 6, 9.8 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. The Postmaster-General proposes to make a reciprocal arrangement to allow pictorial post cards with the correspondence portion on the address side to pass through the post for a penny. THE WODONGA INCIDENT. MELBOURNE, this Day. A Board has been appointed to enquire into the alleged firing near the steamer Wodonga by the forts. [The Wodonga, which arrived at Sydney on the 28th November from Melbourne, reported that while passing Williamstown a shot fired by the Victorian artillery struck the water twenty yards from the vessel, ana ricochetted through the fore-rigging. No damage was, done. Artillerymen in Melbourne declared that the Wodonga incident was exaggerated. An enquiry would, they stated, show that no carelessness was shown at the practice.] FIRES IN WEST AUSTRALIA. RAILWAY STATION DESTROYED. OUTBREAK IN A WAREHOUSE. FREMANTLE, sth December. The railway station at Bunbury was destroyed by fire. The damage is estimated at £5000. A fire destroyed Messrs. Harris, Scarfe, and Co.'s large warehouse, which was heavily stocked with Christmas goods. The damage to the stock is estimated at £25,000, and to the building at £10,000. A large quantity of cartridges and other explosives were stored in the building. Several explosions took place. Two men were injured by flying debris, and a third received a charge from a cartridge in one of his legs. (Received December 6, 9.8 a.m.) FREMANTLE, This Day. The origin of the fire is a mystery. The insurances, which are distributed over a large number of offices, total £44,000. FRENCH STEAMER, AT SYDNEY. SYDNEY, sth December. A French mail steamer arrived hero to-day — the first for several months, owing to the great strike at MarßeiHea.,
