Ormond's Sir Laancelot, and champion hack to Miss Yoktade Sunderland's Mahomet. Pigs : ' Champion Berk* shire boar, Messrs. Black Bros. ; champion Berkshire sow, E. White; champion Yorkshire boar, Ambrose Wellwood; champion Yorkshire sow, E. White j champion Tamworth sow, Nelson Bros. { any other variety of purebred pigi chant* pion boar, John Jarvis. The leaping match was won by H* Hassall's Pickpocket, Mrs. Sunderland'u The Sinner second, and H. T. F. Carlyon's Casimir third. The leading and jumping- competition was won by the East Coast Mounted Rifles, tho Hawkeo ' Bay Mounted Rifles second, and tho Manawatu Mounted Rifles third. The handicap wood chopping compete tion was won by C. A. Berkahii (25se<^» W. Beck (50sec) second, C. A. Christen, sen (55sec), third ; time, 6min 25 2-ssec. The weather proved fine, although very threatening in the morning, and the' attendance was almost equal to the second day last year, probably over 10,000 peo° • pie being on the ground.
