ENTERTAINMENTS, ETC. DIX'S GAIETY COMPANY.
The Theatre Royal now has 'severa* bright particular stars, amongst which Mr. Harry Shine and Miss May Moore Duprez take a prominent place. Thej are backed up by a strong team of colleagues, and naturally the enterUunment draws large and appreciative audiences As a comedian and patttr artist, Mr Shine has returned to his former position in the good graces of Wellington audiences, while Miss Duprez, with her, wonderful dancing and saucy monologue, gains more devotees with e?ery perform ance. Mr. Oiaharu and Miss Dent and the Powers Bros, contribite largely to the general success, and the members of the company are all se^n to advantage. Another star item Wil appear on the programme on Thursd«- week,- when the Gotham quartette of J nerican singing comedians, headed by Mr. Edward Lang, will appear. TLey will give a musical performance on which high praise has been bestowed, and will r» place Miss Duprez in the programme.
