DISPOSITION OF THE FORCES.

A CORRESPONDENT'S STATEMENT. LONDON, 3rd October. The correspondent of The Times who was recently with General Kuroki's headquarters staft has returned to Tokio. He reports that the Russians have two divi.sions at Mukden, the remainder of the army being at Thieling. At the latter place extensive fortifications are being erected. Field-Marshal Oyama's forces, the correspondent says, are twenty miles north of Liaoyang, in their original order — that is, General Oko's force in the central position, with General Nodzu's army on his left and General Kuroki's force on his extreme right. The bridging of the Taitse River (near Liaoyang) is now completed, and the Japanese artillery has crossed.
