At tho sitting of the Magistrates Court tlii« morning, tarewell was taken of Mr. l^onny, Stipendiary Magistrate, who has received notice of transfer to Nelson. Messrs. Crump and M'Vcagh, on behalf of tho Bar, expressed regret at Mr. Kenny's departure, and 'complimented him on tho pleasant relations that he had always been ablo to maintain between tho Bench and Bar. Mr. Toyler (Mayor), representing the )ocal bodies, also expressed regret. Mr. Kenny warmly thanked the various speakers
