The loss above insurance is estimated at £5110, the totul damage being put, down at £14,000. Following are the details of the insurances : — New Zealand Insurance Company : Mrs. Tail, Clarendon stable, £200 ; Carroll, building, £4025; Smith, effects, £250; Wishart, tools,' £30; Mrs. Flemming, iurnituro stored at Smith's, £200. North % Queensland Oilice : Kavanagh, stock, £625; Merriman, stock, £150; Mrs. Tnit, stock and furnituie, £1350 (somo of the amounts in this office are reinsured with the Imperial Office). Commercial Union Oilice : Guscoigno, iitock, £700 ; Coombs, stock, £100. Alliance Office : Hopkins, billiard table and fittings, £150. Mr. Hannah's stock, which is insured in Wellington, is not included in tho above. Messrs. Hannah and Co.'s stock was insured for £1200 in the Now Zealand office.
