FOOTBALL.
The selector of the Wellington representative team (Mr. G. C. Fache) has picked the following to play against Auckland on Saturday : — Full-back, Barber ; three quarters, Wilson, Bush, M'lntyre ; five-eighths, Gray, Johnston ; half, F. Roberts ; forwards, Dodd, Watkins, Driscoll, Wright, Abrim, Cross, Spencer, and Hardham. Braid is not available for the Auckland match owing to an injury, , but he and the .above players, with the addition of Joyce and A. Wilson, have been picked torepresent the province in the South Island. At the request of the Auckland Union the New Zealand Rugby Union has appointed the following referees for the ' various matches to be played by tho touring Auckland team t—stht — sth September v.
