The returns of the Mount Lyell mine for the period from 13th November to 10th December show that 21,725 tons of ore, together with 3115 tons of purchased ore and metal-bearing fluxes, was treated by the converters, which produced 421 tons blister copper, containing 416 tons copper, 38,9910z silver, and 1408oz gold. GREYMOUTH, 18th December. Nelson Creek Company will pay another 2s dividend on Monday. The Slafford-Waimea Company is arranging to place a^ore powerful dredge on the ground. REEFTON, 18th December. The report of the Big River dredge states 1 that during the week. No. 7 level has been driven seventeen feet, making the total distance from the shaft 441 feet. Driving this week has been in a hard sandstone bar. . DUNEDIN, This Day. The following dredging returns are announced :— Matau, 350z; Lower Enfield, 9oz 6dwt 7gr.
