ABANDONMENT OF A VESSEL.
THIRTEEN OF THE CREW DROWNED. [press association.] LONDON, 15th November. The Norwegian ship Talefon, bound from Norfolk, Virginia, to Cardiff, was abandoned water-logged. Thirteen of the crew, including all the officers, were drowned. The remainder landed on the coast of Cornwall. The annual Methodist Synod of the Wellington district will open in Wesley Church to-morrow morning. The Justice Department, has been advised that the Government Buildings a* Tauranga .were totally destroyed by first last night.
