THEIR ANNEXATION URGED. [press association.] (Received November 13, 10.53 a.m.)' MELBOURNE, This Day. j The Presbyterian Assembly discussed the New Hebrides question. The speeches were strongly opposed to the French efforts to gain control of the islands. The Rev. Mr. Stewart said nothing would solve the problem bmb the hoisting . of the Australian flag on the islands. Geographically they belonged to Australia, and politically they were essential as a ring of the outer defences of the Commonwealth.
