UNCLEAN BAKEHOUSES.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir— A great deal has been said of late in reference to cleanliness and public health generally, the result being the appointment of inspectors. But, sir, have these gentlemen or the Public Health Officers inspected the bakehouses of the city? To my personal knowledge some of the pjaces are disgracefully unclean, the buildings being, guthouses and swarming with rats. In my opinion bakehouses and places where flour is stored should be built of brick and should be- rigidly inspected as to clfianUness, et.c',',— I am, etc, *" 7'7 ' ' PLAGUE.
