At a meeting of the Auckland Racing Club Committee the following resolutions were passed: — That totalisator dividends be paid on first and second horses when not fewer than seven horses start, except in the case of classical races, when the field must number four, at at present, bracketed horses to be treated as a single starter; that no children under twelve years of age be allowed on the grandstand or in the paddock ; ' that for the future applications for jockeys' and trainers' licenses must be forwarded through the secretaries of country clubs ; that the decision of the stewards in the Austerlitz case be upheld. For the A.R.C. Summer Meeting there are enquiries- for St. Michael in connection with the Cup at 100 to 8. Nonette and Bluejacket are firm favourites at 5 to 1. For the double, Cup and Railway, 100 to 6 on the field is offered.
