ENTERTAINMENTS. ETC. DIX'S GAIETY COMPANY.
A new programme was presented at the Theatre Royal on Saturday night by Dixs Gaiety Company. Mr. Harry Shine was as popular as ever, his songs and "patter" creating much amusement. Miss Vio!«t Elliott was in capital voice, and her ballads met with the appreciation they deserved. Miss Elliott was presented with a basket of flowers. Little Miss Alma Gray, who had been indisposed, mad* her reappearance, and scored heavily with her songs and dances. Miss Gwynne and Messrs. Dean and Shine appeared in a sketch "Tho Woman who Did," which was amusing, though the termination could be improved upon. Tho Worrall Sisters, Miss Roberts, Messrs. Williams, Warton, Marion, and Robert* were successful iv their several contributions to a bright programme. In keeping with Mr. Dix'b policy of frequently changing his artists, five new performers will make thoir appearance at tho theatre to-night— the Rio trio of acrobats, M'issjMaud Faning, and Miss Elsie Rosser.' The return o* those clever dancers the Dartos is underlined for Friday.
