Mr. Stevens was highly complimented for hiß unfailing courtesy. A capital spread was provided. The report of Mr. Biggs, the Government Surveyor, who has been exploring for a track between Shannon and Eketanuna, is a very favourable one. Mr. Biggs does not favour any route previously considered good.- He believes he can cut a track at less expense and of greater benefit to the tmblio southward of these.
