Sir, — In reply to Mr. Arnold, I sngfesfc that those beautifully-constructed uildings known, so well to the public as the "Shelter Sheds" be removed and a fine monument ue erected to commemorate the brave deeds of our "boys" at the front, and "have^ the names of those who so dearly sacrificed their lives for their country inscribed thereon. 'xhe gums that are coming to New Zealand from South Africa might also be placed there. I think, as many others do, that this is a grand spot for the purpose, and would be to visitors a splendid introduction to the Empire city. — I am, etc., • J, DANIEL.
