A RAILWAY STATION INCIDENT
FRENCH AND AMERICANS IN CONFLICT. Received November 3, 9.14 a.m.) LONDON, 2nd November. Some French officers at Yang-tsun, on the Pekin-Tientsin railway, refused to leave a carriage of a special train intended to carry the 14th American Regiment to Tong-kin. Colonel Daggett thereupon summoned an American guard and had the officers ejected. The latter have demanded an apology.
