' RESCUE OF MISSIONARIES. (Received October 30, 9,30 a.m.) LONDON, 29th October. The Rev. Messrs. Green and QriJiths, with their families, Rev. Mr. Brown, and Miss Greig, were rescued at Paoting-fu after five months' privations.v They were tJmce captured by the Boxers. • The allies • are co.ur.ii - martialling the Treasurer of Paoting-fu for thrice ordering the Green family to be tortured. A placard exhibited at Stiknas (?) offers 500 dollars for the head ©f Dr. C. R. Hager, of tue American China Mission, and 300 dollars each fer those of Wesleyan, Baptist, and Presbyterian missionaries.
