SPORTING.
The Committee appointed by the stewards of the Wellington Racing Club to allot trainers and jockeys' licenses met this morning to consider the evidence forwarded by the Canterbury Jockey Club with reference to the running and ownership of the horses Aide-de-Camp and Ruamahunga, in connection with which the jockey's licenses of F. Barry and H. Telford wcro held over pending enquiries, perusal of the evidence occupied all the morning, and at lunch time it was decided to adjourn the" enquiry so as to call certain persons connected with tho case before the committee. In tho meantime it was resolved to issue a temporary jockey's license to F. Barry, but the application of H. Telford for a similar license was postponed until the conclusion of the enquiry.
