EX-PRESIDENT KRUGER. BOUND FOR EUROPE.
LONDON, 12th September. Mr. Kruger, and other Transvaal exofficials, are staying at the residence of Dr. Potts, late Consul for the Transvaal, at Delagoa Bay. There are indications that he will sail by the steamer Herzog on the 24th inst. OBJECT*OF HIS MISSION. (Received September 14, 9.25 a.m.) LONDON, 13th September. It is officially announced by the Boers that Mr. Kruger has been granted six months' leave of absence. He goes to Europe to endeavour to obtain the intervention of the Powers with the object of securing the independence of the Trans : voal. The Boers have elected Mr. S. W. Burger Acting-President during Mr. Kruger's absence. (Received September 14, 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, 13th September. Mr. J. S.
