PAHIATUA, This Day. Mr. Thomas Horton, of the Premier Nurseries, had all his outbuildings destroyed' by fire at midday yesterday. "There was a heavy- gale blowing at the time, and it is thought that a spark from the copper must have got under the building and caused the conflagration. All the tools, seeds, etc., were lost. Mr. Horton was insured in the Imperial Office for £30, and the loss is estimated at £125. The Hawkes Bay district is now burnt up, and rain has been urgently wanted. Luckily rain is again falling in the diatrict, and though the shearers will suffer inconvenience the settlers in general will benefit.
