LONDON, 11th December. The Queen has authorised tho making of collections in the churches in aid df the funds for providing comforts for the soldiers and sailors and their families. Her Majesty attended a performance of the oratorio '• Elijah" at St. George's Hall on behalf of the soldiers and their families. Miss Ada Crossley, the well-known Australian contralto, took part in the performance.
