[BY TELEGEAPH — PBESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, Bth November. The Conciliation Board met this afternoon, and made known its recommendations' in the tailoresses' dispute as follows: — That the parties to the dispute enter into an industrial agreement ending 31st March, 1900, or the date en which the log now in force in Auckland expires, whereby they agree to work under the existing log, savei in so far as it is controlj led by the Employment of Boys and Girls Without Payment Prevention Act or other legislation. The Board annexed a memo, as follows: — "The Board are of opinion that the wages and conditions of labour should be uniform throughout New Zealand, unless it can be shown, that local circumstances give rise to necessary differences, and with the object of facilitating bringing this about, the Board made the recommendation which they have announced." AUCKLAND, Bth November. The Board of Conciliation met to-day in, connection with the award made some time ago by the Arbitration Court in the dispute between the master builders of Auckland and the Auckland branch of the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners. The Board decided that Messrs.Cochrone and Edwards be brought under the agreement, and that they be given until 22nd November to sign, failing which their case to be sent to the Arbitration Court.
