WELLINGTON RACING CLUB. At the monthly meeting of the Stewards of the Wellington Racing Club yesterday afternoon the following programmes were approved :— Otaki Maori Racing Club, 24th and 25th May — stakes £910, an increase on last year of £56 ; Whakataki-Castlepoint Racing Club, 27th March— stakes £63, no totalisator; Ekatahnna Hack Raoing Club, 2nd April— stakes £37, no totalisator. All accounts in connection with the recent Summer Meeting were passed for payment. Mr. R. Brown, the owner of Osborne, asked the Stewards to reopen the Chasseur-Osborne case, by which the stake of the Flying Hack Race at the Club's Spring Meeting had been forfeited by Osborne on account of wrongful entry ; but his request was not acceded to. Therefore, if Mr. Brown wishes to proceed further with the case it will be necessary to appeal to the Racing Conference. The Stewards, acting on the advice of the Club's solicitor, instructed the Lower Valley Jockey Club to pay over the stakes won by Voltaire at its meeting to the nominator (Mr. C. Burt), thus disallowing the protests lodged by Mr. W. J. Jorgenson, alleging wrongful nomination. The resignation of Mr, E. Pearce, who has left the colony, as a member of the Club was accepted with regret." The Secretary was instructed to finally notify those in arrears for fees that unless the amounts due are settled at once ,the defaulters' names will be placed in the Unpaid Forfeit List.
