AQUATICS. ARAWA SAILING CLUB.

Tho Arawa Sailing Club sailed the final heats for Mr. Luxford's trophy and Mr. Martin Chapman's cup on Saturday afternoon under most unfavourable circumstances. Much dissatisfaction was expressed at the action of the Match Committee in not postponing the finals. Owing to the strong nor'-wester blowing several owners did not go aboard their boats, and all interest was thereby taken out of the competitions. The Rewi sailed over the course, increasing her score to 10 points. She wins Mr. Martin Chapman's cup for 14 and 18-footers. The Dauntless and Arawa sailed a good match, the former winning by 18sec. The Arawa should have won easily. However, the second point gives her the trophy.
