SUICIDE AT ROTORUA.

[BY TELEGRAPH — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, 29th December. A man named John Hicks, aged l\b, committed suicide in a most deliberate manner at Rotorua. His body was founu hanging by the neck from a rafter in an old stable. The deceased had evidently mounted a partition in the stable, tied a l-ope to a rafter, put the noose round his neck and thrown himself down. Hicks was in business in Rotorua eight years ago, but was recently an auctioneer at Dannevirke. He returned to Rotonia a few days ago looking for work. He was a steady man, but a martyr to rheumatism, and in all probability the pain he suffered led him to the act of self-destruction.
