There was 1 a good attendance at the first day's racing of the Lower Valley Jockey Club's annual meeting, which was held at Martinborough yesterday. The following are the results : — t Hack Hurdles, of 35 soys ; one and a half miles.— Charlton, 1. Dividend, £2. All the acceptors started. Maiden Race. — Forest Queen, 1. Dividend, £4 ss. All started. Boxing Day Handicap, of 45 soys ; six furlongs. Lovshot, 1. Dividend £9. (Join Te Taiaha, Prologue also started. Hack Flying, of 15 soys; six furlongs. -—Christmas Eve, 1. Dividend, £32. ] Rebounding Lock and Urgent Averc scratched. $ LoAver Valley Handicap, of 100 soys ; one and a quarter miles. — Doreen, 3. Dividend, £3 16s. All started. Hack handicap, of 60 soys ; one and a quarter miles. — Derringcotte, 1. Dividend, £4 14s. Pipi and Waipuki Avero scratched. Grandstand Handicap, of 50 soys ; one mile.—V oltaire, 1. Dividend, £2 12s. Ooin Avas scratched.
