THE COURSE OF THE MARCHAND EXPEDITION.
(Eeoeived December 27, 9.25 a.m.) Cairo, 26th December. Major Marchand's expedition, which on leaving Fashoda started up the Sobat river, an eastern branch of the Nile, is now ascending the Baro river, which runs into the Sobat from the Italian territory to the south of Abyssinia.
