» [by telegraph.— own correspondent.] Carterton, This Day. The annual parade of sire horses was held at Carterton yeslerdaj'. In the class for thoroughbreds there were six competitors, J. C. Hay ward's Saracen taking first prize and championship, J. Buckeridgo's Tnsman second, 11. W. Clay's Au ltevoir third. In coaching stallions, J. Tinsley's Robin Hood was first, Dyke's Blackthorne taking first in the trotting section. For ponies H. W. Clay's Itajah took first and T. H. Hughes's Cigar second. Draughts.— J. B. Wcstluke's Burnsidc, 1 ; Williams & Beetham's Baron Salisbury, 2. There were several entries for exhibition only. During the intervals three cycling events were run off ou the new cycling track. The following were the results : — Half-Mile Dash Handicap. — W. Sorensen, 1 ; J. Parker, 2. Two Miles Haudicap. — N. Dixon, 1 ; K. Johnston, 2. One Mile Handicap.— W. Sorensou, 1: J. Blade, 2.
