An illuminated address is to be presented to Mr. George Chatwin, who, after some years' oharge of the Taueru School, has been promoted to the head - teachership of the Mangatainoka School. Mr. Chatwin made himself very popular at Taueru. An effort is being made to raise funds for a town-hall at Whakatuki. There is every prospect of a good woolclip in this district this season. District Judge Kettle has granted unconditional discharges in bankruptcy to R. B. Church, R. Jones, and W. H. Allsworth, and to J. R. Hebley on couditiou of payment of 5s in the £ as arranged. The discharge of A.R. Waterhouse was suspended for six months for not keeping proper books. R. E. Hornblow was ordered to contribute as a shareholdci lo D. Henderson i & Co., in liquidation*
