THE DELAYED 'FRISCO. MAILS.

[by telegraph — press association.] Auckland, This Day. As to the great delay in the despatch of the steamer with the Southern portion of the 'Frisco mails the following particulars will explain matters : — The Moana arrived at 5.4.5 a.m., and was moored at 6. The first bags were landed at 6.5. The special train, despatched at 7.22, arrived at Onehunga at 8, and the last bags were shipped at 8.18 on the Takapuna. Captain Grant then stated that he could not proceed to sea, as the tide was too low. He left ultimately at 4 p.m.
