THE DE ROUGEMONT STORIES.
* [press association.] (Received September 27, 10.10 a.m.) Sydney. This Day. Mr. W. Fielkins, who acted as second in command of the Giles exploring expedition, and who was appealed to through the columns of the London Daily Chronicle, has responded to the appeal, and denies that the Giles party fired on De Rougemont's. According to a writer in the Nelson Mail, De Rougemont, while iv Nelson, was instrumental in inducing certain Australian capitalists to send two experts to inspect some of the copper properties in the Aniseed Valley. _____
