MYSTERIOUS BROWNING AT SOUTHLAND.
♦ ; [BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION/] Invercargill, sth July. The inquest on the young man John Dooley, whose body was found in a shallow creek in an open paddock at Oterarnika on Saturday, concluded to-day, a verdict of Found Drowned being returned. The occurrence is very mysterious. The young fellow was in good health, sober, and it appeared that he had only left the schoolroom where the entertainment was going on while the floor was being cleared for dancing.
