Major Wardill, Secretary of the Melbourne Cricket Club, fears that the bowling of the Australian Eleven in the test matches will be weak. He says it will be a thousand pities if Turner is not included instead of M'Kibbin, as Turner is more likely to keep down the runs. London, 22nd October. Giffen's decision not to participate in the teat matches is greatly regretted in cricketing circles.
